We’re having a contest!!! The details are not
finalized, but the gist is this: Send (text, email, whatever’s easiest for you)
a picture of yourself (or somebody) reading LAID SO LOW. Bonus points if you have two people, one reading LAID SO LOW and the other reading HEARTLESS CRUELTY

Winners will be drawn at random from all entries. Grand prize (like I
said, still working out the details) will be a weekend at the Jersey shore! Other
prizes tbd! How easy! How fun! I’ll be posting pics as they come in. THE MORE
THE MERRIER! Just make sure you include your name and the best means of
contacting you.

“…with all objectivity, what he can do
with plot and character and suspense and setting and dialogue… well, it just
has my poet brain agog. Richard Goffman, I hope you have the idea for number
three in mind.”
Jean LeBlanc, author of SKATING IN CONCORD

Now you can read the book you’ve been waiting for…..

Finally, the book you’ve been waiting to read on the beach, the latest in the Mr. Bachman series of Jersey shore thrillers.
If you’ve read HEARTLESS CRUELTY, you must get your hands on LAID SO LOW, the darker, more dangerous thriller that is the PREQUEL to HEARTLESS CRUELTY. And if you haven’t read HEARTLESS CRUELTY yet, now is your chance to catch up on the whole exciting series.

Here’s the new cover!

It took a lot longer than I thought it would, but Laid So Low, the long-awaited (by me, for one) PREquel to Heartless Cruelty, is out of my hands and on its way to the publisher. Fly, little birdie!

There’s a process that happens now, and it will probably take 2-3 weeks before books are available. But it’s happening! And when it does, then I’m really going to be posting about it.

In the meantime, follow this blog, “like” Richard Goffman Author on Facebook , and block out some reading time. I’ll keep you posted on progress.

The Montclair State First Year Writing faculty has a blog called DEEP DOWN IN THE CLASSROOM , and I just posted there about reading aloud from LAID SO LOW in front of several hundred students and faculty.
